Andrew LaBreche
Andrew LaBreche is a Rutherfordton, North Carolina native with extensive national (and international) experience involving civil, criminal, and domestic/family legal disputes. Mr. LaBreche earned his B.S. in legal studies from Appalachian State University, in which he graduated in the top ten (10) percent of his class. Mr. LaBreche then attended Notre Dame University where he graduated as one of the top ten (10) students in his class.
Upon completion of his legal education, Mr. LaBreche clerked for the Honorable Justice Stephen Markman – President Ronald Reagan’s United States Assistant Attorney General, heading the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy – at the Michigan Supreme Court, where he was tasked with reviewing hundreds of claims of appeals ranging from sophisticated civil cases, high profile criminal matters, and all types of domestic cases, to complex jurisprudential debates impacting the interpretation and application of the constitution, statutes, and administrative rules and regulations throughout the State.
Upon completion of his clerkship, Mr. LaBreche continued his practice with one of the most reputable international firms in the United States, McGuireWoods LLP. For over a decade, Mr. LaBreche provided counsel, in civil disputes, to nationally known individuals and companies, such as, the Ford Family, Detroit Lions, many of the largest national (and often international) financial institutions and insurance companies in the country, a variety of technology companies, the “Big Three” auto manufacturers, etc. He also provided representation to a variety of — often high profile — individual clients in criminal and domestic matters, such as United States Congressmen and Congresswomen (as well as assisting with many of their campaigns), directors and officers of numerous Fortune 500 Companies, etc.
In the civil litigation context, Mr. LaBreche provided guidance to clients with respect to all facets of litigation, including analyzing all applicable legal issues, establishing effective litigation strategies to maximize each client’s prospects of reaching their goal(s), negotiating disputes with adverse parties, discussing all settlement options, and, when necessary, litigating disputes to conclusion in both state and federal courts, as well as handling appeals from adverse verdicts.
In the criminal context, Mr. LaBreche has served as a prosecutor and was tasked with the responsibility of resolving a variety of criminal and domestic disputes through plea arrangements, mediation, as well as trying hundreds of cases to verdict. He has also defended clients in state and federal courts with regard to both general criminal matters and cases involving white collar crime.
Throughout his career, Mr. LaBreche has been mentored by a number of the most highly regarded attorneys in the country, represented a wide variety of clients, successfully litigated many unavoidable disputes to verdict, and assisted parties in avoiding costly litigation by utilizing frequently overlooked creative solutions. All, while ensuring his clients were treated with dignity, respect, and given the best representation possible.
